Residential

Most of our customers want to be sure they are hiring the best roofer for the job. After all, if you were a roofing expert, you wouldn't need to put your trust in a specialist like Code Red Roofers. We hope the following list will help you in your understanding of how to choose a roofer, or any other contractor to work on either your home or business establishment.

1. The scope of work should be specific, and include the product being provided and all warranty information, including manufacturer product warranty information.

2. State law requires your contractor be licensed and insured individually. Make sure you receive copies of their documents prior to signing a contract or allowing them on your property. Physical injuries without proper workers' compensation can end up being your financial loss.

3. Do not allow work to start without a signed contract.

4. Never make a down payment of more than 1/3 for new construction or reroofing and 1/2 for repair work.

5. Do not sign a contract because of an extended warranty only. If the contractor fails to stay in business, the warranty will be useless.
