ROOFING FAQS

Our roofing specialists are often asked a number of questions about the materials, methods, pricing, and practicalities of our roof repairs and installations. Below are our most frequently asked questions for your convenience, with our answers! If you have any other questions, our team will be happy to help answer them!

Will you respond to a roof emergency?

Of course! Code Red Roofers will prioritize your emergency and respond within 24 hours.

What are storm chasers?

Storm chasers are businesses, often not local to your area, that come after storms and claim to help you get your roof repaired. The storm chasers will ask you to sign a document when they “inspect” your roof that takes away your right to an insurance inspection. When the company tells you they will handle the insurance claim for roofing services for you, they will send your insurance provider a letter stating you signed your insurance benefits over to them. They will then work your quote up and add fake charges to get more insurance money from your provider, then they pocket any extra money not required to fix your roof. If this happens, your insurance company will often not let you renew your home insurance and flag you, so your rates with other insurance providers will be higher, if they will cover you.

How do I avoid them?

You don’t have to guess! One of our certified inspectors is more than happy to come out to your home, at no cost to you, and let you know if there are any issues regarding your roof.

How do I tell if my roof needs replacing?

You don’t have to guess! One of our certified inspectors is more than happy to come out to your home, at no cost to you, and let you know if there are any issues regarding your roof.

How often should my roof be inspected?

We recommend having your roof inspected every two years.

Are site visits and detailed quotes really free and no obligation?

They are! Code Red Roofers does not charge for site evaluations or roof quotes. And there is never any obligation!

Will you help me choose the best type of roof material for my home?

Absolutely! After one of our trained roofing professionals visits your house and comes up with a plan, you can choose the best materials from our four available options and figure out costs.

Does a new roof add value to my home?

Absolutely! Aside from improving the look of your home and raising the sale value, new roofing systems usually allow for large credits from your insurance company.

Have roofing practices and materials changed?

Yes, new technologies have allowed us to make roofing repairs and installations safer, more durable, and more efficient.

Will my new roof or repair come with a warranty?

It will! All of our roofing projects are backed by our workmanship warranty, and all materials come with a manufacturer’s warranty. We offer some of the strongest warranties in the business and have multiple warranty options to protect you, chosen based on the type of work done and materials used.

Do you offer financing?

We offer financing through several partners. Financing agreements can range from seven to twelve years, and more information can be found on our Payment Options page.

When do I pay for my roofing project?

We ask for one third of the total when the contract is signed, one third at the start of the project, and one third when the project is done. However, if you financed your roof with one of our partners, payments will only start upon completion.

How do I maintain my roof, and why should I?

While some neighborhoods require pressure cleaning of your roof every few years, this practice can sometimes be harmful to the underlayments of the roof because of the chemicals used. The best way to maintain your roof is to have a roofing contractor inspect your roof and let you know if there is any work that needs to be done. With our free and no-obligation inspections, we can determine if there are any issues with your roof that need to be addressed, such as hidden storm damage, missing shingles, or soft spots. Any work done to your roof, such as satellite dish, air conditioner, or solar panel installation, should be inspected by a licensed and insured roofing contractor after the work is completed to make sure there were no potential problems created.

Can we stay in our home or commercial building while the new roof is installed?

You can! Code Red Roofers will work to minimize inconvenience, allowing you to remain in your home or commercial building while work is going on.

Can I see testimonials from previous customers?

Of course! Customer testimonials and reviews are available on our website or through our Google reviews. Click here.

Can you tell me if I need to replace my roof?

Yes! We offer free, no obligation inspections to assess your roof. Next, they will discuss their findings with you and prepare a free estimate.
